PAG Tour Amateur Flights (2012 schedule below)
A Flight: 5.0 - 9.9 or 77-81 Shots
A Flight players will play from 6500 Yards give or take a few. Any A Flight players with a handicap lower than 5.0 must give however
many shots they are under a 5.0 handicap. This is to keep from having just a couple of players in a Champ Flight and take away from the purse. (See Below)
B Flight: 10.0 - 16.9 Handicap or 82-88 Shots
C Flight: 17.0 - 23.9 Handicap or 89-95 Shots
D Flight: 24.0 - 30.9 Handicap or 96-102 Shots
Any D Flight players with a higher handicap than 102 will be allowed to subtract shots.
Example: When Player has a 106 handicap with our handicap system they will receive 4 shots off their score.

PAG Tour Senior Flights
A Flight: 0.0 - 10.9 Handicap or 72-82 Shots
B Flight: 11.0 - 21.9 Handicap or 83-93 Shots
C Flight: 22.0 & Up Handicap or 94 & Up Shots
* Seniors will play 6000 yards. You will establish your handicap playing with us.
We will use your best 5 rounds to establish your handicap. This is the Flight you must compete in.

2012 PALMETTO AMATEUR GOLF TOUR SCHEDULE
EACH PLAYER WILL EARN POINTS AT EACH TOURNAMENT IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FLIGHT. THEN WE WILL COUNT EACH PLAYERS BEST 11 OUT OF 16 ROUNDS TO DETERMINE THE FLIGHT CHAMPIONS FOR THE 2012 GOLD CUPS! HOPE YOU WILL JOIN IN ON THE FUN AND COMPETITION!
PLEASE ASK SOME FRIENDS TO COME PLAY SOME COMPETITIVE GOLF. PLAY FOR YOURSELF AGAINST PLAYERS WITH YOUR SAME ABILITY.

*Best 11 out of 16 Tournaments will count towards Flight Championships. You do not have to play all 16 tournaments to still have a chance to win your flights championship. By scoring well in 11 could win the Championship. When you get 11 rounds in then you can play more and improve your worst rounds. But if you have all good finishes when you played you could still win with 11 rounds. We realize that its hard to play every tournament.

PLAYING YARDAGES
The B, C, & D Flights, will play between 6,000 to 6200. Senior Flights (55 +) will play from 5900 - 6000 yards. Then players handicap will be determined from these yardages with the PAG Tour Handicap System ( 5 rounds in a flight, is your handicap) this is how players are kept in their correct flight by each players best 5 scores giving them their PAG Tour Handicap.
We feel if you can shoot 5 times in a flight, that is the flight you should be competing in.
Fair for every player. Every player has a bad day, that's golf.

No Sandbagging or Padding Handicap Allowed On PAG Tour!
See for yourself and play on your tour for one full season. You will have a great time!

"A" FLIGHT PLAYERS

ANY PLAYER WHO HAS A BETTER HANDICAP THAN 5.0, MUST GIVE SHOTS TO THE A FLIGHT. EXAMPLE: PLAYER HAS A 2.0 HANDICAP OR 74 SHOTS, THEY MUST ADD 3 SHOTS TO THEIR FINAL SCORE, ETC.. BECAUSE THE LOWEST ALLOWED A FLIGHT HANDICAP IS 5.0 HANDICAP OR 77 SHOTS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION WE FEEL THIS IS FAIR FOR ALL!

HOW "B" FLIGHT AMATEUR PLAYER GETS BUMPED TO "A" FLIGHT WITH THE YARDAGE DIFFERENCE.
If a "B" player reaches a handicap of (7 or 79 shots) from 6,000 to 6,200 yardage, they must move to the A Flight Tee Box. The player will play in the B Flight from the 6500 Tee Box. If the player can maintain an A Flight Handicap from the A Flight Tee Box in their next 3 out of 5 tournaments they must move to the A Flight. If "A" Flight Players drop to a B Flight Handicap from the 6500 yardage they can play the B Flight from the 6500 yardage. To do this they must shoot in the B Flight 8 times in a row to be eligable to play in the B flight from the A Flight Tee Box (6500 yards). In order for a B Player playing from the 6500 Tee to go back to the 6100 Tee box they must shoot 8 times in a row C Flight scores from 6500.
